Society for Integrated Development (SID) is a society for the education and integration of special children, orphans, and semi-orphans. It was established in the year of 1996
The main objective is the all-around development and well-being of rural people, especially women and children, irrespective of caste, creed, and religion. It aims at the holistic development of differently-abled children and residents of girls' homes. Under the society, we have three special schools namely Karunalayam, Kalluvilai, St. Euphrasia, Vanjinagar, Tenkasi, and Deepthi Children Home, Kaliyal. Deepthi Children Home has 22 children and 14 staff, Karunalayam Special School has 64 children and 12 staff and Euphrasia School has 3 staff and 10 children. Many programs are organized for them every year; Counselling, psycho-social enrichment workshops, awareness classes, medical camp, vocational training, various therapies, etc. for the all-round development of children and their families.
